Gokaldham Centre Hire Terms & Conditions
Booking Procedure: Our Booking Request Form must be filled in and the availability checked. A deposit as agreed must be paid to secure the booking. This will be refunded within one week after the hire completes. The deposit is non-refundable if a booking is cancelled by the Hirer. The booking, deposit and hire charges will be confirmed in writing by us.
Full payment of the hire charges must be paid at least four weeks before the hire date/s. This may be varied in agreement with the our Hall Management company SHRICO LTD. Payment may be made by cheque or bank transfer. A receipt will be issued by SHRICO LTD once the monies are received by us.
Catering: Only Vegetarian Food is allowed on site – regardless of whether pre-cooked or packaged. NO alcohol is to be brought into or consumed on the premises.
All caterers must follow our kitchen Health & Safety procedures. No gas cylinders allowed in the kitchen – only our cooking stoves must be used. Electric cookers/ kettles may be used from the kitchen work surfaces with care. Plugs on these must be marked PAT tested and operation is the responsibility and liability of the Caterer.
Gloves, hair nets and aprons must be worn by all those preparing, cooking or serving food. All leftover food must be taken away by the Caterer or Hirer. This must not be left in our bins as it will not be disposed by us. Extra charges will be made for this.
Hall Setup before event: The premises to be used will be provided clean and tidy, with the Stage set up as required. The premises will be opened and light switch controls shown to the Hirer by the our Caretaker.
Tables and chairs can be set up by us, as per one of our standard layout plans as agreed at least two weeks before hire date. Please contact us for layouts and charges.
Our hall Sound System can be hired, but only with our own Sound Engineer, for use for announcements/ speeches/ background music. The system cannot be used for DJ and Live music purposes. Please contact us for details and charges, based upon your requirements.
Approved Suppliers: We have a list of approved Caterers, Decor specialists, Food serving staff, etc. The Hirer is responsible with liaising with them about requirements and charges. We accept no liability or any control over the Supplier’s services and charges. This is purely a helpful service.
Cleaning and clearing up after events: Cleaning of the Halls and Kitchen after the event is the responsibility of the Hirer. Toilets will be cleaned before the event and will be checked to be tidy during the event, and cleaned after the event by our Caretaker.
Black bags for the disposal of used disposable crockery and cutlery must be provided by the Hirer and disposed in the large bins provided by us. Extra charges will be levied if the premises are not returned as provided.
